Can I edit a live campaign?
Updated
by Jamie Wilson
Some ad platforms do not allow for changes to live campaigns. Vantage has created a way to support this needed functionality. Please contact the Vantage Support Team for live support when making your first changes to a live campaign.
Edit Content
If live ads require changes, Vantage allows users to clone the existing live campaign, edit the new campaign clone as desired, and resubmit the new campaign clone for review. Depending on the seriousness of the changes, users can decide to stop the old campaign before or after the new version is approved and live.
Follow the below steps to edit content for a live campaign:
- Click "Advertising" in the menu bar at the top of the page
- Scroll down to your campaign list
- Locate the campaign you wish to edit
- Click "Copy" next to the campaign name and metrics (this will create a clone of the campaign)
- Make your edits to the campaign clone
- Click "Run"
- Pause or cancel the original live campaign (Users can stop the old campaign before or after the new version is live).
Follow the below steps to pause or cancel a campaign:
- Click "Advertising" in the menu bar at the top of the page
- Scroll down to your campaign list
- Click on the name of the campaign you wish to pause / cancel
- At the top right of the page, click "Pause" or "Cancel"
*Please Note: Paused campaigns can be manually resumed. Canceled campaigns can't be resumed.
Change End Date and/or Budget
Updates to the campaign End Date and Budget can be made without cloning and relaunching the campaign. Follow the below steps to make live adjustments to the campaign End Date and/or budget.
- Click “Advertising” in the menu bar at the top of the page
- Scroll down to your campaign list
- Click on the name of the campaign you wish to update
- Find the blue buttons in the top right side of the page. Select either “Change Budget” or “Change Schedule”
*Please Note: If you are extending your campaign, it is also recommended that you add more budget to support the longer campaign.
